Important

These terms are written for UK consumers and reflect UK consumer protection law. Where any mandatory right applies, it takes priority over these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.-----

1. Agreement

This Services Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Clean Slate Clinic Ltd and the individual agreeing to these terms (“Client”). This Agreement sets out the terms under which Clean Slate Clinic will provide its services to the Client.

By agreeing to this document, the Client confirms acceptance of these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy accessible here: UK Privacy Notice, and any required consents associated with the service. The Client acknowledges that this is a legally binding financial commitment.

2. Payment options

The Client agrees to pay for the Clean Slate Clinic 6-month programme through one of the following options:

(a) One payment totalling £1,800; or

(b) 6 monthly payments of £350 totalling £2,100 (“Payment Plan”).

All prices are in GBP. Our clinical services are VAT exempt. If any item is VAT-able we will show VAT at checkout/invoice.

The first payment must be made before the first clinician appointment. For Payment Plan Clients, subsequent payments will be automatically charged each month to the nominated payment method. Failure to choose a payment option or to make the first payment before the first clinician appointment may result in delays or denial of services until the payment obligations are met.

Any add-on services you choose (see Section 10) are charged separately. Any charges or costs charged by your chosen pharmacy for dispensing prescribed medication are payable by you and are not included in the programme fee.

3. Programme description

The Clean Slate Clinic 6-month programme (sometimes referred to as “Beyond Detox”) consists of:

  • Two clinician consultations including clinical assessment and planning;
  • One medical prescriber appointment and discussion and prescribing of craving-reduction medication (if appropriate);
  • Fortnightly clinician reviews over the remainder of the programme (the intended schedule is 11 reviews, but may be adjusted clinically);
  • Access to unlimited SMART Recovery meetings and online resources during the programme.

On completion of the programme (6 months following programme commencement) the Client will be discharged from the Clean Slate Clinic programme. Additional services can be purchased during the programme or thereafter.

Clinical disclaimer: We cannot guarantee specific health outcomes. Care is delivered with reasonable skill and care by appropriately qualified personnel.

4. Payment terms

This is not a subscription service. Choosing a payment plan does not convert the programme into a month-to-month or cancellable service.

Commitment after the first clinician appointment:

If the Client proceeds beyond the first clinician appointment, the Client commits to the full programme fee, subject always to statutory rights and any reduction required where we save costs by not delivering parts of the programme.

If you stop early, we will calculate what remains payable by reference to:

(i) services delivered; and

(ii) reserved capacity we cannot reallocate,

taking account of any savings, and we will provide a breakdown on request.

Missed/cancelled appointments:

Missed or cancelled appointments with less than 48 hours’ notice are forfeited and non-refundable. Additional sessions may be purchased separately if required.

5. Payment authorisation

The Client authorises Clean Slate Clinic to deduct payments from their nominated payment method. The Client must ensure the payment method remains valid with sufficient funds. If a payment method expires or is lost, it is the Client’s responsibility to provide an updated payment method prior to the next due payment.

6. Refunds and cancellation policy

To cancel, email services.uk@cleanslateclinic.com from the email address on your account, stating your name and that you wish to cancel.

The following refunds apply:

  • Statutory cancellation (distance contracts): You may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of entering into this Agreement. If you asked us to start providing services during that period and you cancel, you must pay a proportionate amount for services provided up to the time you notify us.
  • Goodwill policy before the first clinician appointment: If the Client cancels more than 48 hours before the first clinician appointment, they are eligible for a full refund.
  • Opt-out after the first clinician appointment: If the Client opts out after the first clinician appointment, and notifies Clean Slate Clinic in writing within two working days of the appointment, they will be charged £250 and any balance will be refunded (if already paid).

General refund terms

  • Refunds are available only in the circumstances outlined above or in exceptional circumstances as determined by Clean Slate Clinic management.
  • Refunds will be processed within 14 days to the original payment method. Administrative fees will not exceed £50, and “services rendered” will be defined as any appointments conducted, care packages delivered (if any), or assessments completed.
  • If the Client proceeds beyond the first clinician appointment, the Client remains liable for the programme fee in accordance with Section 4 (subject to statutory rights and any required reductions).

7. Obligations and warranties

The Client agrees to pay the full programme cost unless eligible for a refund under Section 6. The Client acknowledges that this is a legally binding financial obligation.

Clean Slate Clinic warrants that all personnel delivering services are appropriately qualified, trained, and experienced in accordance with UK healthcare regulations. Services will be provided with due care and in compliance with Clean Slate Clinic’s Privacy Policy and clinical guidelines.

8. Consequences of non-payment

Failure to meet payment obligations may result in:

(a) A late payment fee of £15 for payments over 7 days overdue, capped at a maximum cumulative amount of £90 (intended to reflect reasonable costs of administering arrears and loss of use of funds).

(b) Interest on overdue payments at 3 percentage points per annum above the Bank of England base rate (simple interest).

(c) Suspension of services until overdue payments are resolved.

(d) Transfer to a collection agency for recovery with reasonable third-party costs actually incurred, borne by the Client.

9. Eligibility and conduct

You warrant that you are 18+ and are entering the Agreement for your personal use. If you are under guardianship, your legal representative must sign and provide evidence of authority.

You agree to provide accurate information, attend scheduled reviews, and use prescribed medicines as directed.

10. Additional services (pay-as-you-go)

  • 60-minute clinician appointment – £250
  • 30-minute clinician appointment – £125
  • 60-minute prescriber appointment – £400
  • 30-minute prescriber appointment – £200
  • 60-minute addiction psychiatrist appointment – £600
  • SMART Recovery meetings after conclusion (3-month access) – £150

11. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for loss or damage arising from the services is limited to the total amount you have paid for the programme/services giving rise to the claim. We are not responsible for delays or failures outside our reasonable control (e.g., internet outages, platform failures, courier delays). Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Nothing in this Agreement limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to repeat performance or a price reduction where services are not provided with reasonable care and skill.

12. Data protection and confidentiality

We process health data and other personal data under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Our lawful bases (Article 6) and conditions for processing special category data (Article 9) are set out in our UK Privacy Notice. We keep clinical information confidential and share it only where necessary for care, safety, legal obligations, payment processing, or with your consent. If we transfer data outside the UK, we use appropriate safeguards.

13. Complaints and contact

If you have a concern, please contact us at services.uk@cleanslateclinic.com. We will acknowledge and aim to resolve your complaint promptly. If we can’t resolve it, we will tell you about appropriate alternative dispute resolution options.

For urgent safety concerns, contact emergency services (111/999), and/or your GP.

14. Notices

We will send formal notices to the email you provided. Email is deemed received 24 hours after transmission unless a bounce-back is received. Please keep your contact details up to date.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms where necessary to reflect changes in law/regulation, clinical safety requirements, or operational changes that do not materially disadvantage you. We will notify you of any material changes. If a change materially disadvantages you, and you have not yet had your first clinician appointment, you may cancel before the change takes effect and receive any refund due under Section 6.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there.
